Luca Várhelyi
Musician (Recorder) – Helsinki Baroque Orchestra
Luca Várhelyi has studied at the University of music and performing arts in Vienna in the class of Carsten Eckert. After graduating with honors in 2020 she has started her postgraduate studies in Dorothee Oberlinger’s class at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg. Várhelyi regularly takes part in master classes and courses to learn from world-famous artists and professors such as Walter van Hauwe, Kees Boeke, Tosiya Suzuki and Erik Bosgraaf.
Várhelyi gives concerts as well as a soloist and chamber musician, with e.g. Helsinki Baroque Orchestra. In recent years she has also placed her artistic focus on contemporary music, working together with various composers, and organizing musical projects that bring together different art forms. Várhelyi’s collaboration with Tero Saarinen Company started in 2021 on the cast of Third Practice.
