Ingrid Geerlings

Flautist Ingrid Geerlings graduated with the highest honors from the Sweelinck Conservatory in Amsterdam. In 1995, Ingrid won first prize at the European Chamber Music Competition in Colmar, France. She has been awarded the Vriendenkrans of the Royal Concertgebouw Amsterdam, along with the Press Prize from the Volkskrant and NRC-Handelsblad. Geerlings is a flutist with Het Muziek and Principal Flutist with the Netherlands Radio Philharmonic Orchestra. She has guest-performed with various orchestras, including the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra and the Chamber Orchestra of Europe, performing at the BBC Proms in the UK and at the Lucerne Festival in Switzerland. She forms a duo with pianist Pauline Post, also working with Het Muziek, and with her she recorded the CD Any Way the Wind Blows.
