Olli Lautiola is Helsinki based dancer, sound designer and teacher. He graduated from Stockholm University of arts in 2017. He has worked mainly and widely in the field of contemporary performances as a performer and sound designer with different groups and choreographers. Olli has recently worked with Sari Palmgren, Iiro Näkki, Carl Knif, Petri Kekoni and Milla Koistinen. As a choreographer his latest creation sumua / farewell (2024) was created for Pori dance company.
As a sound designer Olli works mainly with performing arts but composes sound for installations, movies and advertisement as well. His style travels in between pop, electronic, cinematic, atmospheric and ambient productions. He has done sound design for Tiia Kasurinen, Mikko Niemistö, Mirva Mäkinen, Katja Mustonen and Miguel Gutierrez for example.
Teaching is also an important part of Olli’s work. He has been teaching dancers from students to professionals in forms of contemporary dance, dance acrobatics, floorwork and partnering. (e.g. Tanssille ry, Helsinki Dance Company, Kinetic Orchestra and Vantaa dance institute).
