Since 2025 Emmi Pennanen has been one of TSC’s monthly paid dancers. They are also responsible for TSC’s professional stakeholder relations within the dance field.
In addition to working with TSC, Emmi has recently been creating their own choreographic productions as well as collaborated with e.g. Sivuun Ensemble and Makeshift Company. Previously they danced at the Finnish National Ballet and the Royal Ballet of Flanders for altogether eight years. In these companies they performed in works of prestigious choreographers, such as Carolyn Carlson, Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, William Forsythe and Martha Graham. They also performed in Tero Saarinen’s work Kullervo in 2015 as a dancer with the Finnish National Ballet. Emmi holds a Master of Art -degree from the Visual Cultures, Curating and Contemporary Art MA program at Aalto University, Helsinki.
Emmi has been dancing with TSC since 2020 appearing in creations Transit and Macbeth. They are currently in the cast of Borrowed Light and as an understudy dancer in Study for Life.
