Maele Cheza Sabuni is a dancer and performer as well as a choreographer and DJ. Based in Stockholm, he has performed and worked over 15 years with companies and choreographers such as Cullberg and choreographer Renan Martins, Riksteatern, Somos Dance Company, Urban Apa and choreographer Sonya Lindfors, Viktor Fröjd, Yared Cederlund and Stockholm City Theatre. He has also performed at Melodifestivalen, Polar music Prize and the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony, for example.
Bach in the Street, a piece choreographed and performed by him won awards and toured internationally. Maele has a history of competing, holding titles such as Juste debout Sweden, Juste Debout Nordic, Juste debout Paris world finals (Semifinalist, quarterfinalist), Baltic session Estonia, and Abyss House dance experience (Washington DC).
Maele also works as an established DJ and is a local household name in the Swedish DJ scene. Under the name DJ Cheza he aims to build a bridge between the club scene and the dance scene. Using playful tools and techniques, he has brought his unique sets to events and festivals, such as Way Out West.
