Anna Kuusamo

Actor (TTT-theatre)

Anna Kuusamo graduated as an actor from the Theater Arts program at Tampere University in 2014. In 2013–2014, she studied physical acting at the Stockholm University of the Arts (Stockholms Konstnärliga Högskolan) in Stockholm. Kuusamo has worked as a contracted actress in various city theaters, including Kajaani from 2014 to 2015, Kuopio from 2016 to 2018, and Kotka from 2018 to 2019. Additionally, she has worked as a freelancer in Helsinki and Stockholm.

Kuusamo is a member of the Stockholm-Danish performance art group Bravotoga, which has been active since 2016. The group’s latest production, “Don’t Fear Change,” premiered at Turteatern in Stockholm in 2022. “Anamnesis” is set to premiere at the KONTRÄR stage in Stockholm in 2023, with Kuusamo closely involved in its artistic design. Kuusamo’s recent theater works include “Synninkantajat” at Oulu City Theater (2021), where she played the role of Rauhala, and her involvement in Hannaleena Hauru’s film “Fucking With Nobody” (2022). Kuusamo’s experimental medium-length film, “ADA –milloin tulee seuraava yö / när faller nästa natt,” premiered at the Finnish Institute in Stockholm during Stockholm Kulturnatten (Night of the Arts) in 2022.

Her roles at Kuopio City Theater include the title role in “Ronja Ryövärintytär” (2018) and the role of Chava in the musical “Viulunsoittaja katolla” (Fiddler on the Roof) (2017). In Kotka, her works have included the role of Tuore Tuomisto in the play “Maria 1918, Esitys radikalisoitumisesta” (2018) and the role of Ruusu in the play “Me Naiset” (2019).

Kuusamo has also appeared in TV series such as “Syke” and “Salatut Elämät” (2021, 2022).
