Benoit Couchot

Benoit Couchot, born in France, was brought to dancing with Bask folk dance. His passion for training movement and performing led him to study at and graduate from Codarts University of the Arts in Rotterdam. In 2017 he choreographed his first solo Mutiko ala Neska and was awarded “1stPrice Public Choice” and “Final Price Public Choice” at the SoloTanzTheater FestivalStuttgart, followed by performances across Germany, Brazil and various international festivals. 

Benoit has danced in TanzMainz company in Germany and worked with choreographers such as Roy Assaf, Victor Quijada and Felix Berner. Since 2020 he’s been working as a freelance dancer, and over recent years has collaborated with Dovydas Strimaitis, Sarah Baltzinger, Guillem Jimenez, Lukas Karvelis, Diego Vega Solorza, Robinson Cassarino, Diego Tortelli and Hendrik Aerts, among others. Benoit is currently touring with Kor’sia while being part of various creations across Europe.
