He has worked at the National Choreographic Center of Roubaix, and then at Carolyn Carlson Company until 2025. With Carolyn Carlson Company he has designed the lights for creations Immersion, Wind Woman, All that Falls, Density 21.5, Burning, Seeds (National Theatre of Chaillot, 2016), Who Dreams Us? At the same time, he has also collaborated with artists with varied styles – from contemporary dance to the urban scene – including Chinatsu Kosakatani, Brahim Bouchelaghem, Honji Wang and Sébastien Ramirez, Salim Mze Hamadi Moissi, and most recently with emerging urban dance choreographers Dylan Jolly, aka Petite Écume, for Fase Less, and Siham Ennajjary for Sab'R.
Bonneau’s designs use abstraction and graphic forms to highlight visual poetry.
