Aira Maria Lehtipuu
Musician (Violin) – Helsinki Baroque Orchestra
Aira Maria Lehtipuu studied baroque violin with Kreeta-Maria Kentala and at the Royal Conservatoire The Hague in the Netherlands with Enrico Gatti. Lehtipuu’s roles in music groups vary from concertmaster to viola player. In addition to the Helsinki Baroque Orchestra, Lehtipuu has worked as a leader at e.g. the European Union Baroque Orchestra, the Polish Kore Orchestra, the Finnish Baroque orchestra and Avanti! Chamber Orchestra. She has toured and recorded with various European orchestras, and is an active chamber musician in Finland.
At the moment, she is working as a senior lecturer in Baroque Music at Novia University of Applied Sciences. Lehtipuu’s collaboration with TSC started in 2019, when Third Practice first premiered with the Helsinki Baroque Orchestra.
