TSC Artistic Director Tero Saarinen and Managing Director Iiris Autio received high acknowledgements for their work on Finland’s Independence Day. The President of the Republic of Finland awarded Tero Saarinen with the Commander of the Order of the Lion of Finland and Iiris Autio with the Knight of the Order of the White Rose of Finland.

Saarinen has received several acknowledgements for his achievements as an artist such as the Finnish National Prize (2001), Pro Finlandia Medal (2005) and the Finnish Cultural Foundation Award (2008). Autio was recently awarded with Helsinki Golden Medal (2018) for her extensive work in raising global awareness for Finnish contemporary dance.
